Another year (check out 2024’s here), another set of prompts, and Inktober 2025 in the books!

There is something uniquely addictive about this challenge. This year was particularly special for me—I found myself leaning into the chaos and having more fun with the process than ever before.

The Power of the Prompt

It’s a fascinating creative exercise, to start with absolutely nothing but a single word and see where your brain takes it. We spend so much of our professional or academic lives working within strict parameters. Inktober flips the script.

No Expectations, No Limitations

The real magic is the freedom from perfectionism. Because there’s a new prompt waiting for you tomorrow, you don’t have the luxury of overthinking today’s piece.

07	Starfish	Creating a retro throwback was really fun. Sometimes taking something ordinary and building on it can lead to great results!
11	Sting	As a huge Lord of the Rings fan I couldn’t pass up the opportunity to represent one of my favourite characters.
23	Firefly	Sometimes the simplicity of an idea works. A single, well-placed subject can catch the eye better than anything too complex.
