About a month ago a tweet went out calling for illustrators to join a collaborative project (Murray Muses) to create an album cover for a made up band. This is exactly the reason I love Twitter. Enabling someone to spread an idea to hundreds/thousands of people and see what results. Naturally I wanted to try my hand at this, y’know to give myself a creative challenge and see what I could come up with.
Rock and roll and 80’s instantly sprang to mind. Some crazy neon lights, a little bit of lightning and a rockin’ guitar held aloft did the rest. The image was initially drawn and put together in Illustrator and then moved into Photoshop for some of the effects. So much fun to create something on the fly and contribute to a collection.
